Moi: Seaside fun
26 Jul 2012
H&M sunglasses, Pull&Bear sheer top, H&M bikini top, old cut-offs, H&M belt, Birkenstocks
Last weekend we went to the seaside with some friends. It was a lovely day filled with folly, sun bathing (and unfortunately also burning), picknicking on the beach (melons included) and drinking sangria on a terrace. I already miss the feeling of sand between my toes and the sound of the waves breaking.

Last week my beau and I went to Ikea for some new additions to our decor like new sheets, lampshades for in the kitchen, a reading lamp to place next to our chesterfield and some other little bits and bobs. I wore this comfy outfit to go. It is only just now that I realised that blue and yellow are the theme colours of Ikea so my outfit was actually ridiculously appropriate! Anyhow, I had been wanting to try out a blue/polka dot/yellow combo ever since I saw the Sass&Bide Spring 2012 rtw collection. How do you like my take on the look?

For this weeks Bits of my life: Five of my favourite things to do
1. Watching romantic movies
2. Eating cherries while reading the paper
3. Taking a walk alongside de Schelde
4. Walking around in my not-very-fashionable but oh-so-comfy Birkenstocks
5. Making healthy(er) variations on fastfood, like this low-fat version of fish and chips

Ever since I saw this picture of Olivia Palermo, I have been obsessing over bright pink dresses. Even though I'm sure I'd never pull off this look like she does. But hey, a girl can - and even must in my opinion - dream. So here is my personal selection of affordable and less affordable perfect pink dresses.

Hello m'dears!
After watching Stella McCartney's Fall 2012 show, I was quite smitten with all the dresses and skirts with flounced hemlines! So now I'm on a quest to find the perfect exemplaire for my wardrobe this fall. I adore the Givenchy leather skirt, but I'm afraid it's slightly over budget. So I guess I'l just have to wait till the high street comes up with a suitable alternative...

I'm currently working as a shop assistant, which means I practically have to stand all day at the fitting rooms or run around like a nutcase trying to keep the shop clean. Hence the comfy outfit inspo. I've been a huge converse fan since I was fourteen (I used to have them in all the colours of the rainbow but now I mainly stick with black). They're comfortable, a little edgy and never go out of style. I like pairing them with slightly cropped trousers and a shirt. I love the neon one this girl is sporting. Add a statement watch and you have the perfect workwear! Only I always wrap my hair in a bun, to get it out of my way while I'm sweeping pieces of garment of the floors :)
What's your recipe for the perfect work attire?
