Strangly enough the weather seems to get better and better here in Belgium, while actually we should be vastly approaching days of rain, wind and other unpleasent things that come with fall. Ah, well, you won't hear me complaining! It is after all the perfect occasion to wear those summer pieces that hand't been out of my closet yet...

As you can see, I am still very busy catching up with the new collections being showed! Here's the second batch of my NY picks! Friday I will show my favourites from London Fashion week.
I adore the cute little peplum skirts/trousers from Preen!
Diane Von Furstenberg's dresses were brilliant as always. I love their round, poofy shape.
J. Mendel got it right with flowy fabrics in contrast with the abstract colour-blocking.

Prada, Miu Miu, Jill Sander, Marni (all fall 2011)
We can dream of spring all we want (with all the new collections tempting us on style.com) but the fact is, it's still fall! So I thought I'd take a look back to the trends of this season! Conclusion: A coat with big, round shoulders is the perfect investment piece for fall/winter 2011! How lucky for me that I've just picked up a perfect one at COS (pictures will follow).
Btw, The round shoulder-trend is also very happening in spring 2012 (at least if we can believe Prada)

The Sartorialist
School has officially kicked off today, which gives me the perfect excuse to dig up some outfit inspiration - any excuse will do really! I've been currently obsessing about these two pairs of matching monochromatic ladies. I've always been a sucker for soft powder pink and I think (hihi, that rhymes) that it's the perfect transitional colour. The grey/silver combo is also rocking it this fall! If you want to make this monochromatic look work, playing with textures is key: Tweed with jersey, snakeprint leather and felt make the look interesting. Oh, and I'm totally smitten for the flounced hem!
Hope y'all had a lovely weekend!

3.1 Philip Lim
Derek Lam
BCBG Max Azria
Please do excuse me for the scandalous late update on my New York Fashion Week favourites, but I've been having some internet troubles (Grr!). So at last here is the first batch! More to come next week, so stay tuned ;)
So far I've been loving Lim's lovely pastels and sleek designs. Another topper was Derek Lam. I especially love those white borders on the black pants! The only minor was that the models all looked very ugly - don't you think?
BCBG Max Azria enchanted me with their special necklines and shoulders. Oh, and of course one can never go wrong with a litlle tribal print! Though I daresay I was under the impression there might be a little overload of it in the spring 2012 collections...Well, I'll let you know if I was right on Monday ;)

Skirt and Top: H&M, Necklaces and Sunnies: Six, Bag and Ballerinas: Zara
As promised: an outfit post! The weather in Switzerland was way better then what we'd had to settle for in Belgium, so I seized the opportunity to wear a skirt and sunnies with both hands! I Topped it of with a tribal necklaces and comfy ballerinas for strawling around the town...

I had a wonderful trip in Swiss, but I must say I was very happy to be back home again and give my man a big hug! This week I will be catching up with my blogreading, pinterest and of course NY and London Fashion week! But first: a little peek into my holiday pics...
We (my niece, my sister and me) spent a lot of time drinking homemade "Eistee" (or red wine) at this cute little café, smoking way to many sigarettes (but that's over now - I quit yesterday...) and catching up with our lovely Swiss friends! We also enjoyed the beautiful nature, read books and indulged in the first season of vampire diaries (man, that stuff is dangerously addictive!). Anyhow, I'm off to lunch now with my two dearest girlfriends! I'll be back soon with my favourite picks of the runway and some outfit posts! xxx

Bonjour dear readers!
Just leaving you a small goodbye note, for I'm leaving for Swiss tomorrow. Together with my sister and niece, I'm going to visit some old family friends there. Alas, I won't be travelling as glamorous as the ladies in the pictures above, but more likely will be crammed in the back of a car for about seven hours! So, if you'll excuse me, I'm off now stretching my legs while I still can ;)

ps: I'll be back (with new outfitposts!) in a week or so...

Bonjour!
As I already said yesterday, I'm totally smitten for the colour burgundy this fall/winter. This deep, rich colour is not only perfect for shoes and accessories, but also for leather pants or boyfriend coats, chunky knits and fedora hats. It's especcially gorgeous when paired with dark blue and gold accents.

Friday I'm going shopping in Antwerp and I will make sure to find the perfect burgundy item there to complete my wardrobe ;)

Hi my dears!
Today I got a newsletter from The Outnet in my mailbox, saying that they've just gotten a new load of Wang on sale! Naturally I hurried up there to splurge...and here are my favourite pieces! I love the burgundy booties and green dress (I'm totally smitten for those colour as of now) and the snake bag (the hottest of prints). The blazer, the white shirt and the leather shorts are all about the masculin look, which I will definately be sporting coming fall! And the brown booties? They're just so deliciously seventies!
Too bad I won't be able to buy all of these items!

Fashion Gone Rogue
Totally in love with this editorial! It really sums up what fall has got to look like: Rich colours, clashing prints, luxurious materials and - not be forgotten - big statement necklaces. I feel like this autumn is the perfect time to show your personal style, be extravagant and individual (btw, Topshop feels the same way).
What do you think? Do you like this crazy style?
Hope you have a fun weekend! xxx

Blazer, sweater and belt: H&M, Scarf and Booties: COS, Jeans: Mango, Bag: Furla
Here's the outfit I wore yesterday to go grocery shopping. It's very casual, yet I felt very chic due to the expensive bag I had on my arm! It is actually from a friend, but she gave it to me, since she felt that I loved it more than she did (I nearly jumped her when she gave it!).
The chelsea boots I'm wearing must be my favourite pair at the moment. I already blogged about them here. They're not only very hot this fall, but also super comfy! And I love the Scandenavian allure they have :)
What are your favourite casual/chic items?
