New make-up

I bought myself an Elle UK last week, which is a huge treat because it is super-expensive here in Belgium (well yeah, I find €8 a lot for a magazine). But I read a very disturbing article in it about how you should regularly replace your make-up, because otherwhise it gets filled with bacteria! I daresay it kinda freaked me out. And so, I went straight to the store to get myself some new brushes, foundation, compact powder, blush, red lipstick and a make-up bag (I had just recently purchased mascara so I felt no need to replace that too). Oh, and while I was there anyway, I also grabbed myself a new gold, shimmery nailpolish!

The brushes are from Hema, the foundation is Nivea, the make-upbag from H&M and the rest is all from Catrice, which I think is a great brand if you don't want to spend much money on make-up - I prefer to save my money for expensive clothes ;)

How about you? Are you a cheap girl like me when it comes to make-up or a big spender?

Looklove: Karmen Pedaru

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I thought I'd share this casual, basic look of Karmen Pedaru with you that I found at Stockholm Streetstyle, AND how to get it! The jacket that she is wearing is from Isabel Marant. But since it seems to be out of stock in all the online shops I know, I found a similar and much cheaper jacket at Topshop!

1. Black maxi dress by Vince at Theoutnet €98,30
2. Boucle jacket at Topshop £45
3. Leather shoulder bag by Diane van Furstenberg at Net-a-porter €530
4. Leather toe post sandels at Asos €15,38

You like this look?

Colour me pretty: Gorgeous green

Colour me pretty

Ever since I saw this picture of Anne-Catherine at Vanessa Jackman's blog, I've been smitten with the colour of this lovely ladies pants. I also love the cute jazzy brogues she paired them with, and her haircut, and the blazer, and - The whole outfit just has that perfect je-ne-sais-quoi... You can see more of her style on her own blog.

Oh btw, does anyone know the correct name for this colour?

New kid in town: Tribal skirt

New kid in town

Hi lovelies!

Yesterday I hopped in H&M with my boyfriend to buy him some new basic T-shirts, but when I saw this tribal-print mini, I just couldn't resist! But, I pledged that this would be the last item I bought there for at least two months. For making this this post made me realise that I shop at H&M WAY to often! And I instead I would much more like to shop less and save up for some more expensive purchases at COS, Massimo Dutti, J.crew,... So that 'll be my new quest ;)

Looklove: Flapper dress

It's been a while since my last post. The reason for this is, I was at Pukkelpop festival, where a terrible storm took place on Thursday. Several stages/tents were ruined and five people died. Luckily my friends and I were all okay...But I can tell it took me a few days to get it out of my system!

So now it is and I am ready for fashion again ;) starting off with an outfit of one of my favourite bloggers over at Late Afternoon. I love the dress she's wearing. It's from the Asos Salon collection. I admit I have been wanting to buy it for a long time, but unfortunately it was a bit over budget... Still hurts a bit to see it again though!

Moi: For a walk

For a walk

For a walkFor a walk

Hi lovelies!

I just wanted to let you know I had a fabbidifab time in France. We made several long walks, ate dame blanche until our bellies ached, drank vin rouge while contemplating life's biggest questions and lay in the sun reading...sigh!

Now  I have to say I'm a real nature-loving-gal. I love the fresh smell of the forest, green meadows, wild flowers and the peace and quiet. But combining that with my love for fashion isn't always that easy. For pray do tell me, how many fashionable hikers are there? Well, I tried anyway! You like the result? I always like to hear your feedback ;)

Moi: Packing

Allô, allô!

In exactly half an hour my boyfriend and I are making a little road-trip to Charleville-Mézières! I'm looking foreward to finally getting out of the country for a while. Above you can see what I've packed... I'm afraid I went a little overboard :) We're only away for a few days, but I seem to have packed half my closet!

Now, off I go! see you back next week ;)

Bonjour mes amis!

I trust you all had a fabbydi-fab weekend? To start off the week at ease I thought I'd give you some lovely inspiration for a chic yet casual look: Stripes+Sequins! I love how the playfull stripes tone down the otherwise dressy sequins...

Now I'm off packing like a busy bee, for tomorrow I'm heading for la belle France! (I'll show you some pictures of my packing spree before I leave)

Currently craving: Stone pendants

Last night I discovered this lovely jewellery shop called The Vamoose. I liked about everything they sold, but what really stood out for me were the stone pendant necklaces. Rocky jewellery have been on-trend all summer, up til now I was always able to resist them, but these exemplaires I must say are quite the thing! And for such democratic prizes ;)
chain pendants
1. Tourmaline and Silk Cord Necklace - The Vamoose £23
2. Small Citrine Drop Necklace - The Vamoose £18

3. Turquoise Teardrop Necklace - The Vamoose £14
4. Pyrite Nugget Necklace - The Vamoose £18

Which one is your favourite?

Bonjour dear readers!

While pinning I stumbled upon this picture of the lovely Hanneli! It caught my eye because I just love her mustard yellow sweater combined with that übercute grey-blue-silvery Mulberry bag! Definately a colour combo I'll be trying out!

Looking for some more yellow/grey bliss? Take a peek here or here!

Hi dears!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend? I sure did! You see, aside from the annoying stuff that comes with buying and renovating a house (dust in your hair and a f*cked up manicure) there is also the fun part: Buying new furniture! Like the delicious vintage creamcoloured chesterfield I managed to lay my hands on :)

And on top of that, the sun started shining yesterday! Which is exactly why I decided to put on one of my favourite summer items to celebrate: My soft pink midi skirt!
